In this presentation scientific data will be shared to provide a stable ground around which agroforestry – animal farming operations can be planned for success.

The lecture will begin with a nutritional comparison between alfalfa and “tree hay,” based on analysis of available scientific research on the subject.

The second part will focus on changes in animal performance with the inclusion of different percentages of tree hay or active compounds in the animal diets.

Finally, tree systems integrated with current farm practices and the available technology will be presented.

The goal of this lecture is to prove that tree hay has to be considered as a supplementary or main feed source for animal rearing in any animal farm.

The lecture addresses the animal farmers and farm consultants that want to integrate trees and tree hay as a part of the farm. The information presented in this lecture will help them make better decisions based on science backed data.
