The European Agroforestry Federation (EURAF) is organizing the 8th European Agroforestry Conference, hosted by the University of Neuchâtel, Switzerland.
I will be attending, and I’m genuinely looking forward to it. Every two years this conference brings together 400+ scientists, policy makers, and farmers — and the knowledge exchange that happens there is hard to match anywhere else.
This edition covers a broad range of topics, and a few are particularly close to my work: silvopasture, fodder systems, agroforestry and viticulture, and the ever-important question of how to make agroforestry actually farmer-friendly. The programme also includes farm excursions to the traditional agroforestry systems of the Swiss and French Jura mountains — a rare opportunity to see living systems with deep roots in the landscape.
If you’re curious, check the sessions, the workshops, and the registration page. Hope to see some of you there!
